Chengli Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as “CLW Group”), was founded in 2004, originally known as Hubei Chengli Special Automobile Co., Ltd. The headquarters are located in Suizhou, Hubei Province, the hometown of Emperor Yan and the land of ancient bells and music, recognized as the capital of China’s special automobile. The group has a total registered capital of 500 million yuan and is a diversified group company that integrates the research and development, manufacturing, sales, and automotive financial services of complete vehicles, special vehicles, new energy vehicles, automotive parts, and emergency equipment.

Development Scale

CLW Group has established four core production bases in the southern suburbs of Zengdu District, Suizhou City (Chengli Special Vehicle Company), Zengdu Economic Development Zone (CLW Group Company, Chengli Dali Company), Huangpi District, Wuhan City (Chengli Heavy Industry Company), and Dongjin New District, Xiangyang (Chengli Xinfu Company). These bases cover more than 5,000 acres, employ over 13,000 people, and include buildings with a total area of over 2 million square meters. The company has over 5,000 sets of various production and testing equipment. With 17 subsidiaries, more than 100 professional factories, and over 40 member factories, the group has an annual production capacity of 50,000 chassis, 100,000 special vehicles, over 10,000 new energy vehicles, and 20,000 units of emergency equipment. The group also has joint manufacturing and comprehensive service bases in Qingyuan, Guangdong; Guiyang, Guizhou; Changchun, Jilin; Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia; and Dingxi, Gansu.

Qualifications and Resources

CLW Group has obtained certifications for ISO 9001 Quality Management, ISO 14001 Environmental Management, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management, After-sales Service System, Energy Management System, and other certifications. It has also received the National Military Confidentiality and National Defense Construction Supporting Services Qualification Certification, 3C Compulsory Certification, ASME Certification, and EU ADR Certification. The company holds scarce qualification resources for special vehicles, truck-mounted cranes, truck cranes, fire trucks, new energy vehicles, complete vehicles, and buses.

Development Capabilities

The group has established a “Provincial Enterprise Technology Center,” “Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center,” and “Hubei Province Emergency Rescue Support Vehicle Engineering Research Center.” It currently employs more than 1,200 technical personnel and has set up innovation platforms such as the “Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Practice Base” and “Wuhan University of Science and Technology Student Practice Base.” Chengli’s independent innovation products have obtained over 500 national patents.
